Teen Anxiety & Exam Stress Coach

Is your teenager overwhelmed, overthinking, or struggling to believe in themselves? You want to help, but knowing where to start can feel impossible.

You might have already tried talking it through, adjusted expectations, given them more space. And yet nothing seems to shift. Sometimes, even when parents and children have great relationships, at home conversations have the same effect as white noise.

I'm Sian Davies, a specialist teen coach based in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. I work with young people aged 15 to 19 in person, whenever possible outdoors, across Oxfordshire and Berkshire, and online anywhere in the UK, helping them build the confidence, calm, and clarity they need to move forward.

Help Your Teenager Overcome Anxiety, Exam Stress and Low Confidence

My work focuses on helping teens feel calm, capable and in control, both academically and emotionally.

Every family I work with finds me at a different point. Some parents have been worried for months. Others have just started to notice something feels off. But there's a pattern to what they describe.

Their teenagers are often  bright and capable on the outside, but privately caught in cycles of worry, self-doubt, or overwhelm. They might be avoiding revision not because they're lazy, but because the anxiety of sitting down to it feels unbearable. They might be pulling back from friends, not because they don't want connection, but because the fear of saying the wrong thing has become too loud to ignore. I coach outdoors because our dependence on social media is also affecting our ability to concentrate for longer periods of time and the rewiring of our young people’s brains is a real problem.

If any of that sounds familiar, you're in the right place. Coaching gives your teenager a private, consistent space to understand what's happening, develop real strategies for managing it, and start to trust themselves again.

We start with a conversation

A conversation between you and me, without your teenager present, about what you're observing and what you'd love to see change. I'll explain how coaching works and answer any questions honestly. We then have a conversation with your teen to establish what they want to work on, agree boundaries of keeping your teen safe (I have an advanced, mobile DBS certificate) while establishing what they want me to share with you. The first session often immediately follows this conversation.

Your teenager starts coaching

We work through bespoke one-to-one sessions built around your teenager's specific challenges and goals. Some young people need to unpick the beliefs driving their anxiety. Some need to rebuild confidence from the ground up. The sessions go where they need to go and we set up a group chat with you, myself and your teen in case urgent questions arise.

Watch them flourish

Parents tell me that after one session their teenager seems lighter. Less consumed by worry, more willing to try things, more able to put setbacks into perspective. Progress is never linear however, so there will sometimes be tough weeks and part of the coaching process is to help teenagers cope with times when things don’t go to plan.
